Hare Matar Ki Kachori

Hare Matar Ki Kachori is a delicious and crispy Indian snack for any occasion. These kachoris impress guests and satisfy taste buds with a recipe that uses fresh green peas, flavorful spices, and a crispy outer crust.

Ingredients:

For the dough:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Water for kneading

For the filling:

  • 2 cups fresh green peas
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp fennel seeds
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp dry mango powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions:

  1. Mix the all-purpose flour, salt, and oil in a mixing bowl to make the dough. Gradually add water and knead the dough until it is smooth and soft. Cover the dough and let it rest for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Grind the fresh green peas into a coarse paste using a food processor or blender to make the filling. Heat oil in a pan, add cumin and fennel seeds, and sauté for a minute. Add the ground green peas and all the spices, and cook until the mixture is dry and starts to leave the sides of the pan.
  3. Divide the dough into small balls and roll them out into thin circles. Place a spoonful of the filling in the center of each circle and bring the edges together to form a ball. Flatten the ball slightly and roll it out into a disc.
  4. Heat oil in a deep frying pan and fry the kachoris until golden brown and crispy.
